Since Edmonton was waiting for the winner in the conference finale, the trophy jets of the presidents avoided the elimination of sending the series back to Dallas on Saturday evening for Game 6.

“We knew that this would not be easy,” said stars striker Matt Düchene. “We knew that they would not roll on us. We drive to Dallas here and see if we can end it.”

Nikolaj Ehlers had two goals, and Mark Scheifele and Vladislav Namestnikov also achieved back Hellebuyck in his second shutout of the playoffs.
