Five people who were killed in the helicopter collision in Finland crashes helicopter

Five people were killed when two helicopters collided and crashed in a forest area near the Eura airport in the southwest of Finland, the police said.

The police said that the collision with medium air occurred shortly after noon on Saturday near the city of Kauttua, with the rubble 700 meters from the Ohikulkutie Road.

“Five people died on Saturday in a helicopter accident near the Eura Airport,” said DCI Johannes Siirilä from the National Bureau of Investigation.

The media reported that the helicopters had decreased from Estonia and wore business people with three people in one and two in the others.

The Finnish newspaper Ilehti quoted a witness, Anti Marjanen, and said that he met one of the helicopters during one maneuver.

“One of them fell like a stone and the other slower. I heard no sound,” Marjanen was quoted.

A helicopter was registered in Estonia and the other in Austria, according to an Estonian public broadcast report, in which the newspaper Helsingin sanomat in the Finlands in Finland. Both belonged to Estonian companies. One was owned by Nobe and the other of Eleon, the report added.

According to the Pori Aviation Club, the helicopters were reported on the way to a hobby air ride.

The National Bureau of Investigation leads a joint investigation by the local police, and the Finnish and Estonian authorities cooperate.
