The bus driver took care of after the accident injured the students in Sumner County

Lyles, tenn. (WSMV) – Sumner County Schools confirmed Jordan James von WSMV4 that the bus driver was involved in the administrative leave in the Monday afternoon accident in which the students were injured.

The move to place the driver onto the administrative leave until the start of the examination of the crash, according to the school district.

Tennessee Highway Patrol and the district confirmed that several West Moreland students were injured in the Rock Hollow Road at the bus accident.

THP reports that the bus drove on the street when the driver supposedly lost control, entered a stream and hit a bridge, leaving the bus on the side.

According to the THPS, five students and the bus driver suffered a preliminary report “minor to moderate” injuries. At the time of the crash, a total of 19 Middle and high school from West Moreland and High Schools were on the bus.

All other students involved in the accident were brought to the Bethpage Elementary School so that the parents could pick them up.

THP reported that the driver was quoted because she is not the class C class C.
