1 killed in 'bomb attack' in the California fertility clinic

An explosion in front of a California fertility clinic on Saturday killed a person in what the local mayor referred to as a bomb attack.

The explosion tore through the city center of Palm Springs, damaged the clinic heavily and blew the windows and doors of other buildings nearby, which the city's police chief said, seemed to have been a deliberate action.

“The explosion seems to be a deliberate act of violence, and the explosion extends for blocks, with several buildings, some badly damaged, seriously,” said Andy Mills, chief of police from Palm Springs.

“There has been a death, the identity of the person is not known.”

Eyewitnesses told the local media that they had seen human remains near the American reproductive center clinic, which was apparently severely damaged in the explosion.

In a declaration published on social media in the clinic, it is said that no staff has been violated when the explosion started.
