Brother of the iconic rocker and father of NBA All-Star Stan Love Dead at 76

The former NBA player Stan Love, the father of NBA all-star Kevin Love and the brother of the singer of Beach Boys, Mike Love, died. Stan was 76 years old.

Kevin Love made a contribution to Instagram on Sunday evening and announced that his father died.

“You were undoubtedly my biggest teacher. … How we were all my father was imperfect. But despite his shortcomings and my own, we are a successful story of father and son. A never -ending bond that is rooted in love that will remain forever,” said Kevin Love as part of his post.

“Dad, I'm so proud to be your son. My only hope is that you are proud of me. It was everything I ever wanted. Thank you for everything.”

Stan Love is from California and played College basketball in Oregon. In the first round of the NBA design of 1971, he was drafted by the Baltimore Bullets. He also played professionally for the Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs.

Stan's brother Mike Love is one of the lead singers for the Beach Boys. Mike is 84 years old.

As for Kevin Love, he is currently a member of the Miami Heat organization after playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Kevin Love played on UCLA College basketball and was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies with the No. 5 selection in the NBA draft from 2008 before it was traded on the Timberwolves.

Later he met LeBron James and Kyrie Irving in Cleveland and helped the Cavaliers to win an NBA championship in 2016.

Kevin Love is a five-time all-star and was named twice as an all-NBA of the second team during his career.
