The collision opened Bayne, who entered her entrance with Penelope Ford at her side for a single game against Jay, who had Harley Cameron in her corner.

Bayne immediately shoveled Jay and put her in the corner to achieve a few shoulder journeys and chops. The former member of the dark order fought back, but Bayne's Power and Ford's interference made it possible to keep control.

Harley tried to gather the crowd behind Jay when the power plant kept her in a Bearhug. Jay always found ways to achieve short comebacks before Bayne would finally overwhelm her.

Ford climbed into the ring and tore off the clamping pier, while the referee was distracted, but Cameron pulled it out of the ring and fought her on her back. Bayne scored on the tensioning lock, but threw from a pinfall attempt.

This was a solid opening game. It had a few good physical actions, but the finish fell a little flat. It was difficult to see if Bayne was fed up with hurt, but it seemed as if she had problems hit the powerbomb and her finisher to end the match.

Result: Bayne defeated Jay

– The pyro at the beginning of the show was much more for AEW than usual.
– Jay and Cameron are a funny duo. If Aew ever gets women -tag titles, they would be good in this department.
– Bayne's equipment is always great, but the best week was the best that she had had since his arrival. It was very richly decorated.
– Jay's crossbody from the apron looked great.
