Timberwolves, Knicks make NBAS Final Four

The blockbuster deal The Timberwolves and Knicks moved in shortly before the beginning of this season to undergo one of the clearer “Win-Win” arts in NBA history.

It was not an easy decision for Tim Connelly and the wolves to part with Karl-Anthony Towns, one of the largest players in franchise history. But the main piece that they came back, Julius Randle, has recently played part of the best basketball of his career and is a big reason why Minnesota has been returning to the final of the Western Conference. They also landed Donte Divincenzo-Einen important rotation mirrors, which had two further seasons in a team-friendly contract-and a choice in the first round (with the kind permission of the pistons).

The wolves would have no hesitation to do the trade again. The Knicks, who had blown out the Celtics on Friday evening, to reach their first final of the Eastern Conference for 25 years. The cities that were an all-star starter this season was his usual, hyperefficient self on the offensive and achieved a career high in rebounds on average. This season he acts as a perfect No. 2 for Jalen Brunson, similar to how Randle has returned with Anthony Edwards since his return from a groin injury in February.

The two teams are now eight combined victories when it comes to standing in an NBA final of the storybook. But even if one or both do not make it onto this stage, only the last four seasons – and trade – qualify as a success.

“It is really cool to see a trade that happens that you can rule it as a win-win-win-win situation,” said Divincenzo earlier this week. “To look at the success that they had individually and together for our season, it always feels good for our time to look back on the trade because he knows that it was a win-win situation.”

In his five seasons in New York, Randle helped turn the Knick's franchise and set the stage for this year's success. Divincenzo was huge for her in the playoffs of last year in the second round in the second round in the playoffs of the past year when they lost to the Pacers. But Knick's President Leon Rose took the brave step of acquiring cities and believed that he could help bring her over the hump. And that's exactly what happened.

On the other hand, Kat deserves immense recognition for everything he gave the Timberwolven in his nine seasons with the franchise. He was bought entirely in Minnesota on and next to the square and stayed during the loss season and a lot of turbulence before helping the wolves to the WCF for the first time in 20 years. But Connelly thought that time was the right to act for long -term financial reasons and to act with the conviction that Randle and Divincenzo could go further the wolves this year. They are four victories from achieving this.

The history of trade is still written. But as this moment it is impossible to name something other than a big victory for both parties.
