Meet the man who led the fourth year in a row in a row of British UK list, a net assets of RS …, his name is …

He first got involved in the family business in Mumbai in 1959. Since then he has been responsible for transforming a small trading company into an international business empire.

Gopichand Hinduja and his family were once again crowned the richest people in Great Britain, reports the Rich list of the Sunday Times. Although their prosperity has decreased slightly this year from £ 37.2 billion up to £ 35.3 billion, they are still far ahead of the rest.

Gopichand Hinduja, also referred to by friends and colleagues as “GP”, followed up as chairman of the Hinduja Group a year ago after his older brother has died. GP was first involved in the family business in Mumbai in 1959. Since then he has been responsible for transforming a small trading company into an international business empire.

The history of the Hinduja group actually comes more than a century. It all started in 1919 when GPS father Parmanand Deepchand Hinduja Sindh (now Pakistan) left to explore new horizons in Iran. The family later moved their operations to London in 1979, and the others, it is said, is history.

Big business, big dreams

With Gopicand in the center, the Hinduja group has developed as a giant with almost 200,000 employees worldwide. They do everything, from banking and finances to energy, media and even manufacturing vehicles. Some of their highlights acquired Golföl and Ashok Leyland in 1984, an established Indian vehicle manufacturer, 1987.

But the business is only half of the story. The Hindujas also left their fingerprints on the London real estate market. They are also the owners of the legendary old war office building in Whitehall, which they converted into the upscale raffle in London last year. Carlton House Terrace, right next to Buckingham Palace, is another property in her portfolio.

Family ties across continents

The family members of the Hinduja are distributed worldwide. Gopichand works from London, the brother Prakash lives in Monaco, and the youngest brother Ashok manages the interests of the group in India. In combination you have the family heritage alive and run.

Even with ups and downs in the economy, the Hindujas remained strong. They also focus more on the future and invest in things such as electric vehicles and green technology. Through the Hinduja Foundation, you support education, healthcare and rural development projects in many countries.
