Rae Burrell avoids serious injuries that go out for sparks for six to eight weeks

When Rae Burrell left the start of the season against the Valkyries, it looked as if it had been seriously injured.

Just a minute after her 2025 season, the burlling moved and reached for her right knee while lying on the floor. Burrell could not put weight on the leg and had to be worn from the floor from the ground.

During the game, the only update we got was that Burrell was excluded for the rest of the competition. Now the sparks have considerable news about their health and say that due to a violation of the right leg, it will do for six to eight weeks.

If you consider how bad the injury looked, this is a half -friendly scenario for the sparks. Burrell for potentially two months was certainly missing stings, but an injury at the end of the house during the home start would have expressed.

If you ever had a major injury, it would be best to have it immediately and end it healthy and strong for the rest of the season.

Burrell scored an average of 5.9 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists last year. These numbers are not exactly huge, but there was optimism that this year she would get an increase in the season, which Burrell could have set up for a career year.

Now we have to wait a little longer to see them in the coach Lynne Roberts' system.

While Burrell was relatively healthy in 2024, it is not a stranger for the lack of time due to injuries. A knee injury limited her to three games during her rookie campaign in 2022.

During her last year at the University of Tennessee, Burrell injured her knee at the start of the season and missed the next 12 games. Unfortunately, the story has repeated itself and Burrell has to miss some time.

The sparks now have two keys, with Burrell Cameron Brink on the edge. Brink is still recovering from her ACL operation and wants to return in June. Julie Allemand is currently also with a violation of the left knee.
