UWSP softball takes regional titles via Oshkosh

Oshkosh, Wis. (WSAW) -UW-Stevens Point Softball entered Titan Territory and went with a regional championship and switched to Super Regionals by performing UW-Othkosh through two games.

In her first excursion, Oshkosh needed a victory to achieve a last shot on the regional title. Ultimately, you would see another game with a 5-2 win. The hands made it a run game after the 6th Inning, but it wasn't enough to continue without a Win-OR-go house revenge.

After that, the second game was silent with four goalless innings. Everything changed when Jesse Klicker sent a ball over the left field fence and drove in three main runs for Stevens Point. Oshkosh began to press home with Sarah Hammerton after a separate steal test was made at the second basis.

But the first run of the titans would be the last game of the second game because the clues had won a 3-1 win to win their regional championship. Kodi Rizzo and Ashley Zygowski combined for successful excursions on the hill for Stevens Point.

The general efforts contributed to beating their first ticket for the D3 Super Regionals. They will be confronted against a D3 World Series appearance against a D3 World Series appearance on Thursday, May 22nd and Friday, May 23rd (Times TBD).
