Natchez-the case against a man who is accused of the death of a 10-year-old Amite County child will soon be presented to a Grand jury, said a source familiar with the case.

Cody Rollinson allegedly beat Jordan Hill (10) on April 6th with his pickup, which led to Hill's death. Hill drove with an ATV.

Amite County officers accused Rollinson of leaving the scene of the accident and the possession of marijuana.

Until the Grand jury's decision, these charges could be upgraded to vehicle murder.

The Grand Jury procedure is kept secret to protect those who serve in the juries, as well as witnesses and accused. Tim Cotton, district prosecutor in Sixst, would not comment on the Grand jury if it is expected to meet or what cases will go before it. However, he said that toxicological reports from the accident were not completed. Rollinson could also be exposed to additional charges if those showed that at the time he hit Hill and killed it was intoxicated.

Family and friends of Hill Rollinson's claims did not stop looking for or provide help at the time of the accident. He is said to have returned to the scene in order to call up part of his truck after the accident.

Rollinson received a bond of $ 41,000.

More than 100 people took part in the funeral for Young Hill, which took place in the weapons chamber of the National Guard in Gloster. Hill was an enthusiastic baseball player and his teammates awarded him as the most valuable player at his funeral.

The case has sent the attention of national organizations such as the National Plus Coalition, an activist group whose president Ashley Grubb-Harris, sent emails to law enforcement authorities and the media, which are required in this case after transparency. The residents also commented on social media what they are in the inappropriate accusation for Rollinson.
