Man condemned because he murdered the pregnant woman and stabbed daughters

Masonville, NY (WKRC) – A man was convicted because he had murdered his pregnant wife and attacked his two daughters.

The father of Samantha Garnier, a New York woman who was murdered her husband in fifth month pregnant, told the court that, according to Law & Crime, the crime was motivated by the man's wish for a son.

The 33-year-old Drew Garnier owed himself guilty in March to murder his 29-year-old wife Samantha Garnier, who was pregnant with her third daughter when he fatally stabbed her in 2024. He also guilty of taking her two daughters between the ages of six and nine after a press release from the New York Police.

The New York state police originally reacted to a home dispute in the Haus in Garnier in Masonville, New York shortly after the Labor Day. Drew Garnier arose on site of the police and was treated for superficial wounds. Samantha Garnier was flown to a hospital where she was declared dead. The daughters were treated for stab wounds and later recovered.

During the condemnation of Drew Garnier on Thursday, Samantha Garnier's father spoke to the court.

“He had wanted a boy,” said Samantha Garnier's father.

He added that the surviving daughters were traumatized by the crime.

“I'm her father now. I'll protect her,” said Samantha Garnier's father.

Drew Garnier asked for contact with his daughters while serving his judgment, but Shawn Smith, Delaware District Prosecutor, was looking for no orders. Judge John Hubbard agreed and granted residence commands until 2056, although he found that the girls could choose to contact their father if they wish.

Drew Garnier reported reportedly to sign the orders.

“They took a life and injured their children. They had the right to expect protection against them,” said judge Hubbard.

According to his declaration of consent, Drew Garnier was sentenced to 30 years in prison according to WBNG, followed by 15 years of probation.
