The Iranian prison terms three until the death of shiite shrine attacks

Iran sentenced three people to death and imprisoned several others who were condemned for their role in fatal attacks on a Shiite shrine in the southern city of Shiraz, the judiciary announced on Sunday.The judgments come from two shootings – in October 2022 and August 2023 -, in which 15 people were killed in the capital of the province of Fars in Shah Cheragh Mausoleum. The attacks were claimed by the Islamic State (IS) group.“Three of these defendants were sentenced to death because they were supported and favored after the procedure in the corruption of 'corruption on earth' at the Shiraz Revolutionary Court, said the Colonry Sadrollah Rajaei-Stasab, given by the Mizan online website of Justice.They were also sentenced to 25 years in prison because they “supported and favored in Moharebeh,” he added, referring to the main pollution of hostility to God.Two other alleged members of the jihadist were sentenced to 15 years and 10 years in prison, “based on their cooperation and their influence on Shah Cheragh's terrorists”.Two women were sentenced to five years each, but “their sentences are underneath, monitored by electronic ankle bracelets and in a one-kilometer radius of their houses”.Rajaei-Stasab said that other parts of the case, including the indictment in connection with the arms trade, remained checked and that some judgments had been appealed to the Iran's Supreme Court.In July 2023, Iran performed two men in public in the first attack on the shrine.After the second attack, the judiciary announced in August 2023 that the security forces had arrested nine people – all foreigners – and later sentenced a Tajik to death the following month.
