April 30 (Upi) – A section of the Alabama Highway was temporarily closed when a escalated kangaroo entered the road and caused an accident with two vehicles.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said that the Kangaroo had jumped on Tuesday to Interstate 85 between Tuskegee and Auburn in Macon County, whereby two vehicles crashed in the middle of the chaos.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

The officers closed the section of the Highway and the Sheriff by Macon County to André Brunson on Facebook when the Kangaroo was taken calm and captured by its owner.

“When someone said there was a Kangaroo, of course I didn't believe it and nobody believed it. But I look at him,” said Brunson in the video.

Brunson said the Kangaroo had fled his house in a petting zoo in Lee County.

“We followed him for quite a while,” the sheriff told Al.com. “The traffic was stopped.”

Laura Hagen, director of captivated wildlife at Humane World for Animals, which was previously referred to as Humane Society of the United States, gave an explanation as a response to the escape.

“Whether in a petting zoo on the side of the road or as a pet in the back yard of a person who is captive for a Kangaroo. Kangaroos are strong, powerful animals, and together with Wallabies (a close relative), at least 74 documented refugees have been involved, which led at least 17 creditiveness,” she said.

Hagen said that the Kangaroo named Sheila was the third of her species, which has become easy in Alabama for the past four years.

“The public, the law enforcement agencies and the animal were all dangerous when Sheila, who was probably confused, frightened and was lucky enough to have not been killed or injured, had stopped traffic on the highway, even further emphasizing why wild animals should never be used as a pet or in cruel, dangerous public encounters,” said Hagen.
