NBA-Playoffs 2025: News, schedule, scores and highlights in the second round

The second round of the NBA playoffs from 2025 has started when eight teams want to take another step closer to a title.

All four rounds of the NBA playoffs are best-of-Seven, and the teams are not rated again after every round. The team with the better record of the regular season in every series has a lead for this series. All series are played in a 2-2-1-1-1 format with the team with the better record games 1, 2, 5 and 7 (if necessary).

The Cleveland Cavaliers claimed number 1 in the east and followed the second round after they had received the Miami heat No. 8, but we are defeated by the No. 4 Indiana Pacers, which for the second season in a row to the final of the Eastern Conference. The No. 3 seed New York Knicks defeated the defending champion No. 2 Boston Celtics after a highly competitive first round against the Detroit Pistons, in order to climb the Eastern Conference final for the first time since 2000.

In the west, the Oklahoma City Thunder landed number 1 for a second season in a row and is a victory to defeat Neggets No. 4 Denver Nuggets to find the Western Conference final. Lebron James and Luka Doncic led the Los Angeles Lakers to a No. 3 seed, but were removed by the Minnesota Timberwolves No. 6, who are waiting for the winner of the Nugget Thunder series in the conference final.
