The Philadelphia Union expanded its unbeaten series to six MLS games with a 1-0 win against Atlanta United FC on Saturday evening at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The union moves to first place in the Eastern Conference with 29 points. After a goalless first half, striker Tai Baribo converted a punishment from the 59th minute to lead the union to a 1-0 victory. The local goalkeeper Andrew Rick scored three parades to secure his second clean sheet of the MLS season.

The union will return to Subaru Park in the Lamar Hunt Us Open Cup round from 16 in May 16 (7:30 p.m. ET/ Paramount+) to organize Pittsburgh Riverhound SC on Wednesday, May 21st (7:30 p.m. ET/ Paramount+).
