Mark Scheifele scored in the first game after his father's sudden death

Mark Scheifele played with a heavy heart on Saturday when his Winnipeg jets in game 6 of her second round were equipped with the Dallas Stars. Scheifele lost his father Brad unexpectedly on Friday evening.

He was initially questionable to play Saturday, but before the game, Jets -coach Scott Arniel said reporters that Scheifele would play.

“First of all, on behalf of the Winnipeg Jets, our family, our condolences to Mark and his family,” said Arniel. “We rocked all the morning all the morning when we found it out. Mark will play tonight. As he said, that would be his wishes of his father and he would want to play. He had always been aware of us here.

In a remarkable moment, Scheifele found the deficit of the network on Saturday and scored the first goal of the game with 14:32 in the second period. He found the puck in front of the net and put it through the legs of the star Jake Oettinger.

What an incredibly powerful moment.

Scheifele certainly plays in the head when he tries to force Winnipeg a game 7 at home. When he was in the 6 -game -6 game in game on Saturday evening, he had four goals and six templates in 10 games in this off -season. Do that again – but that's for his father.
