A Mexican marine sailing ship on a global goodwill tour met the Brooklyn Bridge in New York, grabbed his three masts, killed two crew members and had some seafarers dangled in the air.

Mayor Eric Adams says that at least 19 people on board the ship needs medical treatment on Saturday evening. But he says that the 142-year-old bridge spared great damage. The cause of the collision is examined.

In a contribution on the social media platform X, the Mexican Navy says that the incident comprises the Cuauhtémoc, a training ship of the academy.
