The forensic doctor identifies the man who was killed in the Chester Avenue.

The Coroner's Office of the Kern County identified the man who was killed by Bakersfield after a truck on the Chester Avenue Bridge as a 48-year-old John Dwayne Ross.

The Bakersfield police authority said on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, civil servants were called in the 4200 block of the Chester Avenue on the Chester Bridge due to a crash between a vehicle and two pedestrians.

When the officials arrived, they found a man who was later identified as Ross on the south on the south, who suffered from serious injuries. He was declared dead at the crime scene.

Another man had minor injuries after being hit by ruins.

Officials said an investigation showed that the men went south on the southern side of the bridge when a pickup hit one of the pedestrians from behind and drove away.

The alleged hit-and-run driver, 35-year-old Bobby Lemons, was found by the flock safety camera system. He was arrested and met Kern County's prison for crime and leaded to death.
