Teen killed, 2 injured in the night accident in Livingston County

Green Oak, Michigan (Wilx)-a 16-year-old is dead and two other teenagers are injured after a crash in Livingston County in the late Tuesday evening.

The police were sent for the first time before 10:40 p.m. on Tuesday shortly before 10:40 p.m. in the Whitmore Lake Road near M36 to receive reports on a single car accident.

There the police found a 16-year-old who drove in the back seat of a Mercury Montego, who had been ejected from the crashed car. The teenager would be declared dead at the crime scene.

The 16-year-old and the 18-year-old driver were injured and taken to the hospital.

The police say that preliminary investigations indicate that drugs/alcohol are a potential factor. The police said the driver rejected a preliminary alcohol tech test, which led to a search command for the driver's blood.

The results of the blood test are still pending. No names were published.

The crash is still being examined. The authorities have not determined what, if at all, fees are collected.
