Brooklyn Bridge Crash: Heartful videos shows that seafarers of the Mexico-Marine are hanging for life

A terrible video has appeared in which Mexican seafarers, the Cuauhtémoc, to hold on to her life, met the bottom of the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City. The Cuauhtémoc is a 297-foot long Mexican marine ship with 277 people as part of a global goodwill tour. When it was reversed, it allegedly lost the power supply and did not allow it to be controlled. The three towering masts smashed into the bridge and gushed to the impact. Many seafarers were caught high up in the rigging and narrowly avoid falling into the East River.


Two seafarers lost their lives and 22 people were injured, and at least two are critical. First aiders of the FDNY, the NYPD Harbor unit and the US Coast Guard reacted quickly, provided medical help and secure the ship. The injured were brought to the Bellevue Hospital.
Despite the effects, the Brooklyn Bridge did not suffer any significant structural damage. The traffic was stopped briefly, but was resumed shortly after inspection. The Cuauhtémoc suffered severe rigging and fattening damage and was towed on Pier 36 for further evaluation.

The mayor of New York, Eric Adams, confirmed the ship due to a mechanical failure. An investigation of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Mexican Navy continues.

The Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum expressed her condolences and promised support for the families of the victims.
