Nysp announces motorcycle and school bus crash in Oxford as fatal

Oxford, NY (WBNG) – The New York State Police announced the identity and the death of the motorcyclist operator from the crash on April 29.

According to the state police, officials identified the motorcycle operator as Michael Crandall, 61, from Oxford.

Officials said Crandall had succumbed to the injuries he suffered from the crash.

The agency said that the crews on April 29 reacted to the intersection of County Road 35, State Route 220 and County Road 32 in Oxford for the collision report.

Officials stated that a motorcycle had traveled west and the Oxford Academy and Central School District school bus drove when they collided.

Crandall was taken to the UHS Wilson Medical Center, where he was later over.

The school bus had eight children between the ages of 10 and 14. A 12-year-old was rated on site, and no injuries were reported among the others.
