First victim of Brooklyn Bridge Crash ID as América Yamilet Sánchez

One of the two fatal victims of the Brooklyn Bridge Ship-Crash on Saturday was a 20-year-old Mexican marine club from Veracruz, said the state's governor on Sunday.

América Yamilet Sánchez was identified as one of the victims in the Brooklyn Bridge tragedy on Saturday evening.

América Yamilet Sánchez from Xalapa, the capital Veracruz, died when the Mexican Hohe ship collided with the legendary East River Crossing shortly before 8:30 p.m. and grabbed some of its masts.

“My grateful part of the secretariat of the Navy and my wishes for a quick recovery for the injured. Veracruz is with you,” added the official.
