The new video user interface from YouTube is intensively controversial, as the survey shows

If you missed the apparent outcry, YouTube has started to exclude a newly designed video player interface for its web platform to replace the decades of design with a pill-shaped control elements and a cleaner video view. However, users who are dissatisfied with the changes indicate the obvious removal of the ability to scroll on the volume rod or use keyboard links to adapt audio. The update coincides with the 20th anniversary of the first uploaded video of the platform, but how many people are dissatisfied with this disruption of long -term user habits?

As the table above shows, opinions on the new UI of the YouTube video player could not be much split. According to thousands of voices, 46% of them stated that they like the new user interface, and almost 54% stated that they didn't.

Perhaps this undecided result should not be too surprising. In contrast to what some believe, Google does not try to annoy YouTube users when it makes changes to the service, and must have had reason to assume that the change is advantageous. Nevertheless, some people resist almost every change, especially in changes in systems that they have got used to over a period of ten years. Whatever YouTube does, everyone will never like it.
