Tornado Watch for 8 counties Northeast Colorado exhibited on Sunday

The Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Service in Norman, Oklahoma, has published a Tornado watch for eight counties in Colorado and parts of Kansas and Nebraska, which are expected to continue until 8:00 p.m.

The districts of Colorado covered by the clock include Kit Carson, Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, Weld and Yuma, all in the northeastern part of the state.

At around 1:30 p.m. in the west of Arapahoe County, a tornado warning was published for a rapidly moving system, of which the residents in the area “pour rain” and produce large hail. At 2:00 p.m. the storm cell moved to the northeast to Adams County, which also included a tornado warning. This storm cell, the most organized afternoon at the time of this letter, generally moved to the guard area to the northeast of north. Smaller cells around and north of Fort Collins also showed themselves on radar, but did not contain any warnings.

In the past, the NWS forecasts found the potential for storms in the region, including the chances of hail of more than two inches in diameter and the tornado potential.

In addition to the eight counties of Colorado, the Tornado Watch includes 12 counties in the northeast of Kansas and 17 counties in the southwest of Nebraska.
