Tallahassee – Florida State Junior Luke Clanton Was one of 15 players who were named in the 2024-25 post-season observation list on Wednesday.
From 1971 the Fred Haskins price awarded by Stifel will be awarded the top golfer of the US Collegiate Golfer annually as just college golfer, trainer and members of the golf media. Former winners of the Haskins award ceremony awarded by Stifel have conquered 33 large championships and more than 400 professional tournaments around the world. The prize was named in honor of Fred Haskins and is managed by the Haskins Foundation to recognize the top male golfer at the end of the season and to achieve the Annika Prize granted by Stifel, which recognizes the top golfer of Division I.
Clanton led the Seminols to three wins in 2024-25, while he exceeded the ranking in every win. The FSU finished third in the stroke game at the ACC championship in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and performed in the semi -finals.
The native Haleeah, Florida, is an average of 69.36 lines per round and ended the top 15 in all nine starts. He currently holds the two best seasonal average seasonal season in the program history after he has set up the record 2023-24 at 69.33.
In his career, Clanton achieved nine victories in the game game, including three from this season. The high-ranking amateur defeated No. 2 Jackson Koivun from Auburn (3 & 2) and Jack Vojtko from the state of Ohio (5 & 4) in the East Lake Cup and Ziqin Zhou from California (2up) in the quarter-finals of the ACC championship.
Clanton tied his low of 64 in a round to open the seminole interior college in the Glen Arven Country Club.
Clanton received his PGA tour card after securing his 20th accelerated point via PGA Tour University at the Cognizant Classic.
In 13 career PGA tour, Clanton was the first amateur to start the top 10 surfaces in back-to-back starts since Bill Joe Patton in 1957 after taking second place at the John Deere Classic 2024 and 10th in Rocket Mortgage Classic.
At the age of 20 he was the youngest player who had taken second place at the Masters tournament in 2014 since Jordan Spieth.
The finalists for the price will be announced on May 16, and the vote will be opened for the 10 players contained on the list. Players, coaches, media, sports information directors and previous winners can be coordinated by May 26th.
Clanton is also a semi -finalist for Ben Hogan Award.
The seminols will organize the 2025 NCAA TALLAHASSE region from May 12th to 14th in the Seminole Legacy.
