Insider drops a large injury update for Browns' important offensive piece

The offensive line of the Cleveland Browns was a great strength in 2024, but in the trenches for the Browns last season, the injuries were known, which played an important role in the team's offensive fights.

For example, the left Tackle Dawand Jones suffered a broken fibula and was limited to only 10 games. He also dealt with some knee problems in the year.

The good news is that Jones is making progress, and Mary Kay Cabot from Cleveland.com has announced that he should be ready to start the 2025 campaign.

“Brown's offensive Tackle Dawand Jones, who suffered a broken fibula against the saints in week 11, who had to be operated on, works again in the voluntary offseason program and prepares to start the season on the left Tackle,” wrote Cabot. “Jones, who missed the last seven games of the season, has a good weight and willing to lift where he stopped when he started three games on the left Tackle last season.”

These are obviously important news for the Browns, as Jones was impressive in 11 action games during his rookie season in 2023. In the past year, however, the 23-year-old could never be able to gain his foot and registered a poor grade of 46.4 overall grade in Pro Football Focus.

In order to be fair, Jones was never really able to feel comfortable due to his injury problems in 2024, and the fact that he recorded a very solid 73 pass blocking note the previous year shows that health was the decisive factor in his fights in the second year.

We will see whether the state of Ohio can recover and jump back in 2025.
