Angels' Yusei Kikuchi leaves the game on Sunday with an unfortunate injury after great star

Yusei Kikuchi from the Los Angeles Angels left the competition on Sunday morning against Los Angeles Dodgers.

After 98 parking spaces, it would not be likely that the south paw would stay much longer, but it seemed to be shaken after a game on the first basis. He went to the shelter and promptly drove to the clubhouse.

Shortly after his exit, the Halos announced that the ankle irritation was the cause of Kikuchi's departure.

Kikuchi was on an excursion that only allowed three goals and a deserved run over 5.2 innings. During this time he hurled seven strikes on just four walks.

In the season, Kikuchi has an ERA of 3.50, which brings 50 strike outs over 54 innings. During the back half of 2024, the south paw threw an ERA of 2.70 in 10 appearances for the Houston Astros on the way to a three-year contract for $ 63 million with the Halos in this low season.

Before his electrical end of last season, the Engel Kikuchi had monitored as a reliable piece for their future.

“He obviously had a strong end with Houston after the trade, but we also like what we saw before,” said General Manager Perry Minasian in the past season. “If you look at your underlying numbers – the strikes, the walks – that was a total quality year. And for our rotation we wanted people who attack the strike zone. And the durability is very, very important. And we wanted something swing and miss. So it fits all of these things and his make -up.

The hope is that Kikuchi can avoid an injured list of lists and can still start his next start. After the first two games in the motorway series had taken on the Dodgers, the Halos had risen 4-1 when their starting jug went down and threatened to sweep the defending champions.

Although he went early, Kikuchi is in line to collect his first victory in an angel uniform in a bitter sweet end of a turbulent Sunday.
