The motorcyclist flew to Nashville Hospital after a crash during the benefit ride

Pleasant view, tenn. (WSMV) – According to Smokey Barn News, a motorcyclist had to be flown in a hospital in Nashville after crashing during a benefit trip in Robertson County.

SBN reports that the crash took place shortly before noon on the I-24 overpass on the Highway 49 on Sunday. The driver had taken part in the benefit ride in honor of Cody Fletcher, who died on April 28 in a motorcycle accident in the Boyles Road.

According to reports, the driver had hit the back end of another vehicle during the procession on Sunday, but the officials were not sure whether it was a different motorcycle or a passenger vehicle.

SBN said that the driver who was assumed that he was a man in the late 20 was critically injured in the crash and was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.

Pleasant View Police Department, Pleasant View Fire Department, Robertson County Ems and Cheatham County Ems reacted to the scene.

The driver had been at the end of the procession when the crash took place. Many of the other motorcyclists had made it to the final goal of the benefit ride before it learned something about the crash. SBN said the motorcyclists gathered for prayer for the injured driver.

The name of the injured driver has not been published at the moment.
