Pirate Insider reveals the worst Jared Jones injury -update

It was precisely when the pirates thought that their season could not get worse. After many weeks of rehabilitation, it is now likely that John Jones will receive Tommy John Operation on Sunday evening to repair his torn Ulnar collateral band.

This is a big blow because Jones had started his throwing program two weeks ago and was expected to join the pirates again during the all-star break. The initial diagnosis during spring training was a sprain of the UCL, and he was could I then decided on an operation, but Jones and the organization have instead decided to rehabilitate them.

All of this decision was that his rumored operation was covered for about two months and probably got it out of the 2026 season. Until Jones is back with the team, he will be 25 years old by 25 years in the summer of 2027. Jones was injured in the spring training session, only bad news for the organization, but now the worst allegedly got away.

According to Jared Jones, Tommy John Operation will report and will miss the rest of the season and probably in 2026.

Jones was one of the best young weapons in the league and added Paul Slenes to be one of the best duo in baseball. This keeps Mitch Keller as No. 2 starter in the rotation and puts a lot of pressure on the pirates to bring Bubba Chandler to Pittsburgh.

Chandler's debut is inevitable, but the pirates keep it down to protect this additional service of service and limit his innings, which probably eliminates every chance that he wins the Rookie of the Year Prize. As soon as he debut, it is very unlikely that he would go down again and that he was now able to overtake Jones as a Slenes' running mate.

This injury update really harms the Pirates organization. Fortunately, they have a lot of young depth with which they can work in the farm system. Jones should be a big piece of this rotation in the next few years, but now he will probably only record in Pittsburgh until 2027. Let's see if the young jugs for the rest of 2025 and 2026 can appear to appear instead of Jones. Pittsburgh needs all the help you can get at this point.
