Gauchos found new standards during the 2025 season

Los Angeles, California – – – The UC Santa Barbara Softball Team (36-26, 17-10 Big West) fell on Sunday, May 18, in the regional finals in Los Angeles in Los Angeles. The 2025 squad led the program to new heights and used new standards for the team across the board.

How it happened
UC Santa Barbara faced a challenging opponent in the UCLA. The Bruins initiated the gate in the first inn with four runs. A two-RBI single applied the Bruins early and a mistake in the game made it possible to run. Then another RBI single brought home from another. UC Santa Barbara managed to bring a runner with the base Tehya banks' Single, but they couldn't convert it into a score that remained 4-0 after the first inn.

In the second inning, UC Santa Barbara replied with one Alexa Sams' Double double and set the stage for Ainsley Waddells RBI -Single that brought in the first game of the home team.
