Man found in the vehicle on i-24

La narrow, tenn. (WSMV) – An investigation is underway after a man was shot in a vehicle on the Interstate 24 on Sunday, according to the Sheriff's office by Rutherford County.

The law enforcement was sent shortly before 4 p.m. to the I-24 near the Waldon Road exit to report reports on a man in a vehicle on the side of the road.

The police found the man on site who suffered from several gunshot wounds. RCSO said the man died, but it is unclear whether the victim died later or when the police were dead.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol, the La Vengne Police Department and the Rutherford County emergency services also reacted to the incident.

The investigation of the victim's death continues, said RCSO.
