Michigan wife, unborn child killed in the car accident in Whiteford Township

A woman, a woman in Petersburg, Michigan, was killed on Saturday on the US 23 in Whiteford Township in Monroe County when her car was hit by a 24-year-old man from the district of Monroe County, according to the Sheriff of the Monroe County.

The fatal crash killed the 32 -year -old Kaitlyn A. Ellison, who was in the seventh month pregnant, and her unborn child. According to Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred at 10:01 p.m. on the US US-23 nerves at Konsumstrasse at 10:01 p.m.

A preliminary investigation showed that Ellison was driving a red Ford escape on the right lane. She was 300 on the side of a white Chrysler 300 by a 24-year-old man from Oregon, Ohio.

Before the impact, the Chrysler drove 300 on the right shoulder with a high speed rate. The driver then merged from the shoulder to the right lane and tried to pass the left. The Chrysler 300 hit the escape and let Ellison's vehicle run off the road and roll over a slope several times, said the sheriff's office.

Ellison was caught in the vehicle and had to be released by the Whiteford Township fire brigade. The Chrysler 300 also lost control after the impact and struck the highway in the left median.

Ellison was taken to a hospital in Toledo, where she was declared dead, as well as her child.

The driver of the Chrysler fled from the scene on foot. The Sheriff's Office of the Monroe County K-9 and the drone teams were activated. The MPs found the suspect of the US-223 pilot station. The suspect was arrested and recorded in the prison of Monroe County in two cases of the second degree and two operational cases, while he was intoxicated, which led to death.

The driver's name is held back until he is officially charged before the 1st district court in Monroe. Members of the Whiteford Township fire department, the Monroe Community Ambulance and the Michigan State Police supported at the scene.
