New video tells a story of $ 4.23 million in local foods that are delivered to communities

A new video series produced by the Wi LFPA program (Wisconsin Local Food Cu Purchase Assistance) tells the story of two years of effective work conservation work and describes how the program has strengthened the success of producers, websites for food access, local supply chains and community organizations in Wisconsin.

Since 2023, the Wi -LFPA program has delivered fresh, nutritious food of 4.23 million US dollars at all 72 counties and tribal nations in the state.

The WI LFPA program, which was financed by the US Agricultural Marketing Service (USDA AMS) of the US Department of Agriculture, was founded in 2022 to strengthen the resistance of the food and the agricultural supply chain, to support the farmers of Wisconsin and to distribute freshly nutritious foods to under -care communities. By March 7, 2025, the USDA AMS has canceled the local program for food purchases 2025 (LFPA25), which is to come into force in June 2025.

The Wi LFPA program had nationwide effects. Wi LFPA delivered food to 254 sites for food access and worked with 289 Wisconsin producers to grow food for needy communities. Direct payments of $ 3.08 million were provided to the farmers in the program.

The video was created in collaboration with Scott Fischer Motion and Design. Use the whole story and the video at www.wilocalfood.org/rooting-redilience.

Wisconsin's LFPA program is a joint effort between the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection by Wisconsin, Marblesen, Wisconsin Food Hub Cooperative and the Wisconsin Farmers Union.
