The old scandal reappears in the middle of arrests in alcohol fraud

Amaravati/Kurnool: According to recent arrests, the notorious fall of the issue of a passport in a wrong name to film actress Monica Bedi has reappeared in spirits fraud in public discourse. The controversy goes back over two decades and caused a nationwide and international sensation at that time.

Jagans OSD Krishnamohan Reddy, who was recently arrested in a spirits fraud, was the Tahsildar of Kurnool when the fake pass fraud took place. On April 9, 2001, he issued Monica Bedi under the name Sana Malik Kamal a certificate of residence in which she wrongly explained her residence in the Babu Gounda Street in Kurnool. This certificate enabled Monica Bedi to get a passport. Later she fled to Portugal with Abu Salem in 2002, a key that was accused in Mumbai Blast and several turmoil in 1993 before the Portuguese authorities caught.

Studies showed that the seed was sown directly for the production of these fake passports in Kurnool. Initially, the Kurnool police registered the case, but the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) later took over. During the investigation, Krishnamohan Reddy claimed that he had issued the Residence certificate based on a report by the then Revenue Inspector Mohammad Younis. Krishnamohan Reddy had previously arrested, but is now in prison because of his alleged role in spirits fraud.

It goes without saying that PSR Anjaneyulu served as a police superintendent at that time (SP). He issued a no-object certificate (NOC) for the passport based on reports from field representatives. His successor, N. Sanjay, came into office when pass fraud was exposed in August 2002. Sanjay was criticized because he supposedly taken strict measures and had not identified any important suspects that had fled abroad.

PSR Anjaneyulu is currently in prison, arrested in connection with the Mumbai actress Kadambari Jethwani. The anti-corruption office (ACB) had previously charged charges against Sanjay for a large scale of funds when it served as a CID manager and DG of the fire brigade under the Jagan administration. Sanjay remains suspended.

The renewed arrest of Krishnamohan Reddy has brought the Old Monica Bedi Pass fraud back into focus. In this top -class case, Abu Salem, Monica Bedi, Kurnool Revenue Inspector Mohammad Younis, ASI Sattar and others were condemned by a local court.
