Barbara Corcoran, 76, put her NYC Penthouse after a decade in which they live in it. The duplex from the central park was recorded in a bidding war with the final price of its first request of $ 12 million, the New York Post reported. The exact amount that it got has not yet been announced.

“I never thought I would ever go,” said the New York Times real estate mogul. “It is easy to spend money when you build a lifelong dream. For me, real estate is emotional.”

Barbara Corcoran saw her luxury house in 1992 for the first time when she worked as a letter officer. At that time she worked to make ends meet – without knowing that one day she would earn millions with her real estate agent Corcoran Realty.

Corcoran said she had never seen anything as “beautiful” as the penthouse and kept her dream of buying it for years. It was in 2015 that she finally managed to buy the apartment.

After Corcoran recorded the apartment for 10 million US dollars, there were 2 million US dollars that renovated it. The Shark Tank investor gave a tour of the apartment when she announced that she was on sale.

The 4,600 square meter apartment has five bedrooms, five full baths, two half -baths, a curved staircase, a library and much more. The terrace, which is overcrowded with green and flowers, is an outstanding feature of the penthouse.

“The apartment is designed like a multi -stage jewel box,” said Scott Stewart, a Corcoran broker.
