A man from Texas died after he was attacked by bees when he mowed the lawn.

The 66 -year -old Steve Daniels disturbed a beehive when he mowed through an abandoned building on April 27, according to CNN partner KTX.

The bees suddenly raved to him and followed him in his car when he tried to flee in the vehicle, which caused him to crash in the 700th Block of the North Lamar St. around 4:30 p.m., the police from Eastland County said in a press release on Facebook.

“When the officials approached, they found that the driver of the vehicle was swung by bees,” said the police. “The officials immediately evacuated the driver out of the area and put him in a police vehicle in a distance from the first attack to escape further bee stings.”

Daniels was placed in an ambulance in which he “no longer reacted and stopped breathing” when he was taken to the hospital, according to the police. He died in the Hospital Finding of Bee Sticks according to the release.
