Kayden Moy died after being stabbed at Irvine Beach

Tributes were paid to a 16-year-old boy who died at the Irvine Beach at the Irvine Beach at the weekend.

Kayden Moy from East Kilbride was in a fault with a large group of teenagers on Saturday at 6:45 p.m. He died in the hospital on Sunday.

The teenager previously played for Football Club Busby AFC, which said his death “all hit hard”.

Police Sottland said that a 17-year-old boy was arrested because of the incident.

The troop said that on Saturday there was a large number of people on Ayrshire Beach – one of the warmest days of the year in Scotland – and may have made the incident.

Busby AFC said it started a donation for Kayden's family.

In an explanation it said: “The club was destroyed to find out that Kayden Moy had recently lost his life after being the victim of a knife attack.

“Kayden has hired in our youth for several years and it all hit hard.

“We are aware that nothing will ever replace a person's lives, but we hope that Kayden's family will help this extremely difficult time.”
