New True Crime series based on terrible British history

Fred and Rose West: A British horror story a few days after the Netflix debut jumped on number one of the most respected television content.

The three -part documentary by filmmaker Dan Dewsbury is the latest real crime program that has reached the streamer and reveals new details of the shaken case in real life, which shook the United Kingdom in the nineties.

The Doc deals with Fred West's murders to at least 12 women, including daughter Heather, whose remains were found in 1994 under the terrace of the Gloucester house of West, after the police were returned by the social services.

Finding from Heather's remains started the investigation, the Fred's series of brutal rapes and murders, which in most cases acted his second wife, ROS.

Dewsbury considered whether he had thought about the appeal of the true crime and the reasons why he was concerned with such a delicate topic, and intended to “change” the typical audience for true crime.

“The reason why I stand by this series is that I know that I did it right,” he said in an interview with The independent.

“I'm not a radiant person. I want to make the largest audience, but I also want the audience to understand that there is another POV. There is an audience who sees a lot of true crimes. That is the audience that I wanted to change.”

On his Instagram, the documentary filmmaker also noticed how he wanted to give the families of the victims and others a platform that was directly affected by the terrible master plan of the West, and shared some of the answers he received from family members who saw the series.

“There has been a lot to say in the past few days. Incredibly proud of the series we made, and it makes me feel like what we wanted,” wrote Dewsbury.

“If you do things like that, you have to clarify your eyes as to why you do it. For me it was about bringing the family voices out there.

“Katharsis can come in many forms and I know that films like these have the ability to do this.”
