No. 7 total selection

Clingan

April 3, 2025; Toronto, Ontario, can; The Portland Trail Blazers Center Donovan Cleingan (23) Talks with Blazer's striker Deni Avdija (8) during a break in the campaign against the Toronto Raptors in the first half in the Scotiagank Arena. Mandatory loan: John E. Sokolowski-Mimagn-Pictures / John E. Sokolowski-Mimagn Images

Donovan Clingan had a calm campaign, but throughout the season he established himself as a prospective star defender and rebounder and as a franchise center for Portland. The 7-foot 2-center helped its Uconn Huskies with its suffocating marginal protection in a row, and this success has largely been transferred to the league when he achieved a 97th percentage block set among large men this season. In addition, he had a great influence through his relaxation and also achieved a 97th percentile offensive rate. In the course of his last 16 appearances, Clingan played his best ball with an average of 8.8 points, 10.4 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 27.8 minutes.

On the other hand, Clearnan's offensive production left a lot to be desired. He only landed in the 27th percentile as a rim finisher among the bigs and did not score much points from somewhere else. In addition, he shot 59.6% from the free -wire line. The 21-year-old center must continue as a scorer in order to be a high-end output center, but his former success as a defender and rebounder still acquires an A-Class.

No. 8 total selection

Dillingham

With its Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finale, Dillingham's rookie campaign is not yet over. However, since he is not yet playing a post -season, it is probably fair to complete his season -snack bars.

The 6-foot 1 watch enjoyed some dazzling moments as off-the-bench creators this year. He scored twice more than 15 points, including an impressive 19-point 8 assist picture against the Utah jazz. Although he did not get sufficient opportunity in a deep, competing team, Dillingham did not do much to impress in his more than 500 minutes. He enjoyed a few microwave hits here and there, but this ability to create creation outside the three is exactly his business card. The star potential of the 19-year-old as a goal scorer and playmaker is exactly the reason why he was drawn in, let alone the eighth overall selection, and his 4.5 points per game to 50 TS% this season was not the ideal star indicator.

As a rookie, the former Kentucky Wildcat did not do much to establish itself as a star-in-the-make at the offensive end, to facilitate many concerns about his defensive competence. As a result, he deserves a B-class.

No. 9 total selection

Edey

April 24, 2025; Memphis, Tennessee, USA; The Memphis Grizzlies Center Zach Edey (14) takes over the striker of AS Oklahoma City Thunder Jalen Williams (8) in the second round in the first round of the NBA playoffs 2024 in the FedExforum. Mandatory loan: Petre Thomas-Mimagn Pictures / Petre Thomas-Mimagn Images

It is easy to form EDEY an excessive pessimistic view of Edey, based on some sections of his post-season game last month. He placed his fair proportion of surfaces, had difficult stains as a defender in space, had bad difficulties and did not recover, and the grizzlies may have hoped.

The fact that he even earned himself in a playoff series for almost 30 minutes of play speaks volumes about the relative success of his rookie campaign. He scored almost a double double and scored twice more than 20 points. The 23-year-old also recorded crucial 15 points and 11 rebounds to help the Grizzles at Playoff-Platz in the Play-in tournament.

As a 7-foot 4 center, which cut out a unique role in the NBA, Edey had to experience growing pain as a player in the first year. Memphis asked a lot of him as a screen, play finisher, rebounder and pick-and-roll defender, and he was anything but perfect. Overall, Edey has still shown the production of an effective starting center, which was able to use its dominant properties very well in order to achieve a considerable interior effects in the future. For this success, Edey deserves an A -Note.

No. 10 total selection

Williams

March 28, 2025; Denver, Colorado, USA; Utah Jazz striker Cody Williams (5) in the fourth quarter against the Denver Nuggets in the Ball Arena. Mandatory credit: Ron Chenoy-Mimagn Pictures / Ron Chenoy-Mimagn pictures

Cody Williams had no lack of opportunities in his rookie season. With 50 appearances, he played on average north of 20 minutes and even started in 21 of these games. However, he was never able to establish a kind of dynamic, especially as a scorer. He reached double figure points in just four games, which extended over three separate months. In the season he shot only 39.3% from the two-point range and 25.9% of three.

The 19-year-old wing was struggling in many other parts of the game. He frequently turned the ball, scored below -average back -rates and rarely disturbed the games as a defender.

While he undoubtedly has the physical features such as a 7-foot 1 wing span in order to influence the game in many ways from the wing position, Williams currently lack the skills and physicality to use it for every NBA value. In its first NBA summer, the University of Colorado's product will build on a rookie season that brought him a D class.
