Derik Queen reports in NBA as a “intelligent player whose potential is high”

According to Jeremy Woo, Derik Queen is viewed by ESPN as a prospect with a high long-term potential potential in the NBA design of 2025.

“His supporters in the league see an intelligent player whose potential is high in the long run,” said Woo on Monday.

The Maryland Center has an impressive Freshman season with an average of 16.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game, while he shot 52.6 percent off the field.

Queen also appeared during the 2025 NCAA tournament during the Sweet 16 run of Terrapin and recorded 18.7 points per game in three March Madness appearances.

He only connected himself to seven of his 35 attempts from three points in the season, but his 76.6 free throwing percentage could indicate that he would be able to gradually expand his reach at NBA level.

Queen is “in the mixture” for teams within the “Mid Lottery” range Pro Woo.

The 20-year-old was expected to be selected by the Atlanta Hawks with number 13 of the overall selection in the most recent mock design of the Jonathan Wassman from Bleater Report.

“Queen's skill level, the versatility and the existence of IQ were strong enough indicators for the offensive success that certain teams will be willing to overlook their defensive limits,” Wasserman wrote.

While Queen may not be a flawless view, lottery teams could be ready to bet on the advantage if the design begins on June 25th.
