Fatal crash with a motorcycle that is examined

The Tiffin Police Department is currently investigating a fatal car accident that used to take place on this (Monday) tomorrow at the intersection of W. Market Street and the Benner Street.

Preliminary information shows that a motorcycle, which is occupied by a driver and an 18-year-old passenger, traveled to the Market Street towards the east when it collided with a vehicle that drove north in the Benner Street. The influence led to a serious crash.

Tragically, the 18-year-old passenger was declared deceased on the motorcycle on site. The driver of the motorcycle suffered critical injuries and was transported to a hospital in Toledo by Life Flight. The driver of the other vehicle did not suffer any visible injuries and was assessed and treated by the Tiffin Fire/Rescue Division at the scene.

At this point, details about the circumstances of the crash remain limited. The identities of the participants are held back until the family notification and further examinations.

The Tiffin police authority conducts the investigation with the support of Ohio State Highway Patrol. Further updates are provided if additional information is available.
