2 killed and missing at least 1 after the train in North -hio has hit pedestrians

Fremont, Ohio (AP) – Two people were killed and at least one person was missing after several pedestrians were driven by a train in Northern Ohio, the authorities said.

The group was hit on Sunday evening in Fremont near the Eriesee between Toledo and Cleveland, reported WTOL TV.
The mayor of Fremont Danny Sanchez confirmed two deaths and informed reporters that they were a 58-year-old woman and her 38-year-old daughter. He said a toddler was injured and the missing person was a 5-year-old child. He said the crews searched the Sandusky River near the Miles Newton Bridge.

Sanchez said the group was from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and on a fishing trip.

Freemont's police said on X that the bridge was closed and asked people to keep away from the area. Several law enforcement authorities were on site.

E -Mail messages that search for information were sent to the police department of Fremont and Sanchez on Monday morning.
