The first Junior ISSF World Cup of the year started on Monday and runs until May 26th. It has competitions both in non-Olympic and Olympic shooting disciplines in the U21 category.

The Junior World Cups in 2016 by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) are one of the leading annual shooting competitions in the globe for U-21 athletes and the World Cup.

India arrived as a top performer of the 2024 racing route in Suhl and dominated the Junior World Championships in Lima, Peru, with 13 gold medals.

Razia Dhillon, part of the shotgun squad, is accompanied by outstanding actors of the Junior World Championships of last year – Mukesh Nelavalli, who brought five gold medals, and Divanshi, a double gold medalist.

A total of 638 athletes from 59 national associations are used in Suhl to win with 17 gold medals. India competes on all 17 medal events.

India has the greatest contingent, followed by hosts Germany (46 athletes).
