The Indianapolis 500 – one of the greatest events in the motorsport calendar – returns on Sunday for its 109th edition.

A total of 33 cars will accept the epic race, which includes 200 rounds of the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway and an amazing overall removal of 500 miles.

The reigning champion Josef Newgarden pursues the story when he was the first driver to win the greatest spectacle in the race three times in a row, but, due to a punishment, have to start from the back of the network in addition to team -mate.

Spaniard Alex Palou is the leader of the Indycar championship after winning four of the first five races in an unusually dominant start of the season.

But it is 25-year-old Robert Shwartzman who will be in Pole after scoring the first rookie as the first rookie in 42 years, and the two-time winner Takuma Sato in second place.
