EIRMC honors organ donor and shows life -saving effects during the sensitization month – localnews8.com

Idaho Falls, Idaho (KiFi) – April is organ donation month, and Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRRC) honors patients and families who have chosen organ and tissue donations.

EIRC organizes an event of the organ donation for the sensitization month. They believe that organ donations are not only saved for life. It is about restoring hope and giving people a second chance in life.

“Organizations and opportunities to find a miracle in a tragedy. And we cannot always see many miracles. So it is nice if you can take part in one,” said Kristi Caldera, Vice President of Quality at EIRMC.
Caldera tells us that by decision to become an organ donor, individuals have a profound influence and may save several lives.

Those who took part in the event learned about a Twin Falls man named Dylan Wormsbaker who donated his organs after his death.

His father, Curti's Wormsbaker, shares his legacy and tells us that his son's donation has helped over a hundred people in the USA

“For our family it helped us to process the death of our son with life. That is pretty much, they lost our son. It was a tragedy. And he was able to change people's lives by donating his organs. He gave them a chance,” said Curti's Wormsbacker.

The hospital wants us to know that organ donation is not just an act of friendliness. It is also the chance to be a miracle.

If you are interested in becoming organ donor. There are two ways to do this. You can go to your local DMV or visit Yasidaho.org.
