Jesse Lingard has “strangest” contractual clause of all time

Jesse Lingard's agent opened the player's “strange” FC Seoul contract.

Jesse Lingards Agent has unveiled the “strange” details of the FC Seoul offer of the Star player.

The ex-chachester United player Lingard moved to South Korea after the end of his Nottingham Forest deal when he came to FC Seoul.

He achieved a two -year contract with the K League Club with the option for another year.

Lingard had received many offers, but decided to leave the Premier League to venture to Asia.

Tom Keane was commissioned to cope with the 32-year-old's contract when he negotiated with FC Seoul and gave his customer a “really good” deal.

But the football representative admits that it is an “interesting” deal and revealed that it was the “strangest” contract he worked on.

Keane referred to the big “commercial elements” on Lingards FC Seoul deal and said that the former West Ham United Man received a percentage of ticket sales, goods and company partnerships.

“An interesting contract that I recently worked was Jesse Lingards in Korea,” he said of the overlap that Sky Bet brought to you.

“Really good contract for Jesse. Had a football element, but a large commercial element.”

He added: “Part of it was that Jesse would be paid for his football content, but because of his name and what he could bring to the club, there was a percentage of ticket sales, goods and company partnerships.

“So, like this pretty complex trade. So that was part of it. But then there was this cultural thing in which I saw draft contracts … like this aspect was treated in two lines.

“We spoke to the club and there was a very similar 'now, we talked about it'. So somehow trust us.

“And I thought, but 'we don't work that way here in Europe.'

“It was quite interesting culturally and with this contract we obviously came to a place that we were satisfied with.”
