Floridas 'Pipe Pup' Alligator discovered in a rainwater line

The crews that inspected a rainwater pipe in Florida met with an unexpected but familiar resident.

The city administration of the city of Oviedo announced on May 15 that during a routine exam of the pipe under the Lockwood Boulevard, they discovered that their “friend was back, just chillin”.

The video shows the crew, which follows the gator through the pipe because it seems to move through it unhindered.

The city shared on social media: “You loved it the first time and now it is back.” The first encounter with the Gator, which was lovingly referred to as the “Pfeifpup”, occurred two years ago in 2023 during a similar inspection. Although it is unlikely that it is the same alligator, the community is again delighted by the small guy.

The gator was allowed to stay in the pipe because it did not cause any damage. The city assured the residents: “The pipes are good. No leaks.”
