The Blum co-founder arrested in Russia, which is evading the scandal

Vladimir Strais, a key figure behind the crypto-driven telegram mini app Blum, was arrested in Moscow in Moscow, according to Russian media reports.

The arrest took place at the Zamoskvoretsky District Court, with the police confirming that the case “particularly large” financial misconduct encompasses. While the official accusations remain unknown, speculation on the former companies of Skitis – including the token fund and the token box – indicates the millions of investments before they faded out of the spotlight.

Blum, which combines the Gamified Crypto Engagement with Exchange Services on telegram, quickly gave up an explanation in which attempts were made to distance himself from Skitis. In a contribution to X, the company said that it had resigned from its role as Chief Marketing Officer and was no longer involved in the project.

Blum was launched in May 2024 with early support from Binance Labs through his most valuable builder program and obtained through his “drop game”, in which users collected points by tapping virtual snowflakes – with the promise of a future token airdrop. Repeated delays and the continuous wait for a token-generation event have already triggered frustrations among users. The latest developments have only fueled more skepticism.

The drop game closed on May 14th, and the team says that his airdrop stays up to date for the second quarter of 2025. However, the arrest has raised new doubts in the community about the future of the project.

In a follow-up contribution, Blum Sk. “Our team remains fully committed,” says the message, “and focused on bringing the roadmap forward.”
