Officer, who was killed in Gunman's York, Pennsylvania, the siege of the hospital was hit by police fire, says public prosecutor

An official who was killed while reacting to A Pennsylvania hospital deposit was hit by a shotgun explosion that was released by the police, who also met an armed man who held hostages and announced a public prosecutor at a press conference on Wednesday.

The attacker and the West York Patrolman Andrew W. Duarte were killed in the shots in York on February 22, while several other people were injured.

The shotgun explosion also violated a second officer who reacted to the intensive care unit and said, Tim Barker, district prosecutor of York County, said when he announced the results of his investigation.

Barker called the officers of Heroes, who came into a dangerous situation and were ready to risk their lives and save hostages.

“I looked at every moment of the video and saw on the face of every person this willingness to run into the path of shots and potential deaths. They were ready to put their lives down in this hospital for every single person,” said Barker. He called her actions “100% justified and legally appropriate”.

The attack in the UPMC Memorial Hospital occurred after the shooter learned from a doctor that the woman he lived there had died after the treatment, said Barker reporters.

Duarte's last act was to run on the threat, Chief Matthew Millsaps had previously said at Duarte's funeral.

The attacker Diogenes Archangel Ortiz (49) bought zippers and a knife this morning and used a weapon in 2017 during the attack, which was stolen by a neighboring district in 2017, said Barker. He said Archangel-Ortiz was sick when a doctor told him that the woman had been moved to the hospital of the hospital.

Moments later he showed a weapon and announced: “We will talk about that,” said Barker. Archangel-Ortiz shot the doctor, grazed his arm and pierced a jacket. The doctor fled from the intensive care unit.

What followed was a chaotic series of events in which Archangel-Optizer threatened hostages and patients and ended a hospital employee with a zipper of others. A hospital employee who had been shot into the leg was able to flee and fit into a bathroom.

Barker said that Archangel-Ortiz also called his brother during the siege and told him he should clean up his home and give away his jewelry. “This is how I go out,” said Erzenangel office to his brother, said Barker.

The police tried to negotiate and de -escalate the crisis, said Barker when they also organized teams on the intensive doors and formulated a plan to follow someone into someone with a tactical sign.

Some of the nurses who survived the attack shared their accounts on social media and disclosed details about injuries and treatment and the way the attack pursued the survivors.

Nurse Tosha Trostle said in a Facebook post that she was held against him as a shield with a weapon held, who raced behind her back when they went through a door and came across a phalanx of the responding police officers. She said she asked Erzengel Ortiz to let her go and he pushed the weapon against her neck and spine. She heard shots and fell on the floor under his body and could then come to safety.
